Terms and Conditions 2012
*Early Bird Specials
- The Early Bird Special deadline is November 15, 2011. In order to receive the Early Bird Special all relevant deposits and applications must be received by that date. Applications must be submitted by mail or online. Applications will NOT be accepted by fax or email.
- If you are paying by check, your application will not be considered complete until your deposit is received.
- In order to receive the Early Bird Special applicants must achieve the following:
- Applications & Deposits - A $500 deposit for a half a summer and a $1,000 deposit for a complete summer must be received no later than November 15, 2011.
- Applicant must select one of the following 3 payment choices:
- Pay monthly by credit card. Tuition balance will be charged monthly in, equal payments, to the applicant’s credit card. Final payment will be on May 1, 2012. OR
- Head checks must be submitted with the application. Checks must be dated monthly and divided equally over the number of months remaining until final payment date of May 1, 2012. OR
- Payment can be paid in full at the time of registration.
- If camp tuition is not paid in full as per the aforementioned payment options, any Early Bird Special discounts will be forfeited and enrollment may be subject to cancellation. No refunds will be issued. Failure to adhere to above payment terms will void the applicants rights to the Early Bird Special. Full tuition rates will apply.
**Super Early Bird Special - campers who submit their complete application and pay their entire balance prior to November 15, 2011 will receive additional savings as noted on the fee schedule.
Sibling Discounts
- $100 discount per each additional child enrolled, starting with the second child and on.
- The Sibling Discount cannot be combined with the Early Bird Discount or the Super Early Bird Special.
- Tenth grade Sternberg campers, Eleventh Grade Avraham Chaim Heller campers & Junior Staff campers are not eligible to be included in the Sibling Discount Program.
Fees
Tuition fees are as stated on the Fee Schedule. The cost of apparel, canteen and spending money for trips are not included. Luggage shipping fees are additional. With the exception of 9th grade Mogen Avraham campers there are no additional trip fees. Tips are included in camp tuition; no tipping is required. We do suggest a small camper account to cover spending money for trips and canteen. Camp fees do not include any medical or dental expenses or co-pays.
Deposits
- Deposits are due upon application submission. Applications will not be considered complete until the required deposit is received. Campers will not be included in any headcount until their deposit is received and their application is deemed complete. Campers whose applications are accepted and approved will be honored on a first come first serve basis.
- $500 deposit per camper for a half summer
- $1,000 deposit per camper for the whole summer
Cancellation & Refund Policy
- Cancellation Deadlines
- Any total or partial cancellation prior to December 31st will result in a full refund.
- Any total or partial cancellation prior to February 28th will result in a $100 cancellation fee.
- Cancellations from March 1st - April 1st will result in a a $300 cancellation fee.
- After April 1st, NO REFUNDS will be issued. Cancellations after this date will result in a forfeiture of any and all funds paid.
- Due to the seasonal nature of summer camping and the set limitation on spaces offered, it is camp policy not to offer any refund of tuition fees to any camper who leaves or is asked to leave prior to the end of his/her enrollment period.
- It is also expressly understood and agreed that if the camper leaves the camp grounds without the express permission of the Camp Administration, or if the camper damages or defaces camp property, or if the camper’s conduct or influence is not up to the camp’s standards, the camper will be dismissed at the sole discretion of the Administration. In such cases no credits or refunds will be issued.
- Late arrivals, early departures, or absences will not result in a credit or refund.
Admissions
We reserve the right to determine if our camp programs are the correct fit for all applicants. We reserve the right to accept or reject campers based on our standards. If a camper’s application is denied a full refund will be returned to the applicant.
General Information
- All campers are subject to verification of references, possible interview and approval by our head staff. We reserve the right to refuse any camper.
- SHMA Camps will not be held responsible for personal items - including but not limited to luggage, clothing, electronics, sporting equipment, cash, etc. - that are lost or damaged by fire, theft, laundry or otherwise. SHMA Camps will not be held responsible for any items that are lost or damaged by any transportation company.
- All unclaimed lost and found items will be donated or disposed of two weeks after camp ends.
- We reserve the right to use all pictures and videos taken during the summer for publicity purposes. This includes posting photos and videos on SHMA Camp’s web sites. Through your child's application to one of the SHMA Camps you consent to our use of pictures or videos that your child may be in for informational, promotional and marketing purposes.
- Campers agree not to post pictures of Camp Sternberg, Camp Avraham Chaim Heller or Camp Mogen Avraham or any of The SHMA Camp’s campers or staff members on the Internet during or after the summer.
- For the general welfare of all campers, the Camp reserves the right to dismiss any camper whose conduct or influence, in the opinion of the Director, is unsatisfactory or detrimental to the best interests of the Camp. In such cases no refund will be issued.
- By submitting your application to SHMA Camps, LLC you consent that any and all claims made against the Camp and/or its employees, including any monetary disagreements, shall be decided upon only by an Orthodox Bais Din in New York State in accordance with Orthodox Halacha.
